There is something electric about a live performance - the anticipation before the lights come up, the surge of energy when the music begins, and the fleeting moments when an artist becomes completly immersed in the moment. Concerts, Burlesque and live stage performances each tell their own stories through movement, expression, light and atmosphere. My approach is to capture more than what happens on the stage; I look for the split-second expressions, dramatic gestures, unexpected interactions, and bursts of emotion that reveal the personality of the performer and the energy of the room. From the raw intensity of a concert to the theartricality, elegance, humor and artistry of burlesque, these photographs are about preserving moments that exist for only an instant - and giving them a life beyond the performance.
